Speckle Observations of Binary Stars with the WIYN Telescope. III. A Partial Survey of A, F, and G Dwarfs
Two hundred thirty nearby main-sequence stars with spectral types in therange of A to G have been observed by way of speckle interferometryusing the WIYN 3.5 m telescope at Kitt Peak, Arizona. The stars had noprevious mention of duplicity in the literature. Of those observed, 14showed clear evidence of a companion, and 63 were classified assuspected nonsingle based on a power spectrum analysis. The remainingstars discussed show no evidence of duplicity to the limit of thedetection system in high-quality observations. The WIYN Observatory is ajoint facility of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, IndianaUniversity, Yale University, and the National Optical AstronomyObservatory.

FZ Orionis: A short period W UMa system
Photoelectric U, B, and V observations of the eclipsing binary system FZOrionis obtained by the author during three years 1984, 1985 and 1986are presented and studied. The present photometry may settle the disputeregarding the class and the period of the system light variation bewteenthe GCVS 1969 (Beta Lyr; p = 1.597 d) and Figer (1983) and Le Brogne etal (1984) (W UMa; p approximately equals 0.4 d) in favour of the latter.A period change was detected which may be elucidated as due to thepresence of a third body and mass exchange between the components. Timesof ten minima were determined and new ephemeris have been deduced. Thepresent light and color curves were investigated and preliminaryparameters for the system could be estimated.

VRI photometry of selected SAO stars
Johnson V, R, and I photoelectric photometry has been obtained for 199SAO stars in support of the Near Infrared Photographic Sky Survey. Thesedata are utilized in the calibration of survey photographs and arepresented here to assist other programs reliant upon access tophotometry in the photographic infrared.
