Pulkovo compilation of radial velocities for 35495 stars in a common system.
Not Available

Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue.
We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

Visual polarization measurements in the Cepheus flare
We present polarization measurements on a stellar sample located in alarge area in Cepheus. The observations were made with the 2-m telescopeat the Pic du Midi (France), around 4350 A and with an accuracy of thepolarization degree of the order of 0.0001. At large scales, we findthat the galactic magnetic field as given by the direction of thepolarization (alignment of the dust) is, roughly speaking, parallel tothe galactic plane in the Cassiopeia cloud, with a scale size of theorder of 100 pc, while it is turned by about 90 in the Cepheus cloud. Atsmall scales, in both the Cepheus and the Cassiopeia clouds, the COcontent has little correlation with the degree of polarization.

Parallaxes and proper motions. XVII
Parallaxes and proper motions are presented for 23 stars in 19 starfields. Seven of the target stars and one other star have no previousparallax determinations. New photometry is also presented for two of thestars for which previous data had not been published. Two of the targetstars are resolved binaries for which both components were measuredseparately; one of the two is not a physical pair. This list is thefirst in the series which makes use of the PDS microdensitometer of theYale Observatory with five of the 19 star fields being measured there. The PDS measures are too few for a reliable direct comparison with thehand measures, but they appear to be more accurate. This is also thefirst list to report parallaxes of subdwarf candidates. Subluminousstars now form a second commitment of the program along with the K and Mdwarfs which have formerly dominated the program.
